Microsoft announced three new executive hires to boost digital transformation efforts in malaysiabuilding talent in sales, marketing and operations.
Azizah Ali assumed the role of Director of Marketing and Operations, leading company operations, marketing strategy and overall organizational performance with a particular supplier focus. Initiative of Bersama Malaysia following plans to establish a first region of data centers in the country.
Meanwhile, Datin Lim Bee Wa takes over the general management of the SMC (Small, Medium and Corporate) group and is responsible for supporting customers during the innovation process by leveraging the capabilities of the partner ecosystem.
Another addition comes in the form of Ellian Teo as Managing Director of Enterprise Commerce (EC), rising through the ranks after initially joining as a senior account manager specializing in telecommunications. Teo’s appointment follows the success of “leading, coaching and shaping” Account Team Units (ATUs) while contributing to the overall growth of the subsidiary since 2020.
“These appointments not only demonstrate Microsoft’s continued journey to build a more diverse and inclusive business, but also show our commitment to enabling the digital success of each of our customers, supported by the exceptional leadership of Azizah, Datin Lim Bee Wah and Ellian,” said K Raman, general manager of Malaysia at Microsoft.
“Our culture at Microsoft is built on a growth mindset and the appointment of Ellian in particular shows how we nurture and empower our talent by providing a diverse range of learning and development opportunities within their career progression.
Joining Microsoft more than two decades ago, Ali held various leadership positions across Asia-Pacific, including achieving double-digit growth as Director of SMC Group.

Meanwhile, Datin Lim Bee Wah brings over 30 years of industry experience, joining the company in 2018 as Managing Director of EC responsible for driving customer growth through the partner ecosystem.
“As our nation transitions to a digitally driven economy, access to and understanding of technology is no longer an option but a necessity,” Datin Lim Bee Wah stressed. “With that in mind, I am grateful to take on a role that meets the digital needs of different entities. SMCs are critical to the success of our nation’s inclusive economic growth, and I look forward to closely supporting their journey.
Additionally, Teo is now responsible for advancing the sales team ranging from relationship, technical and industrial salespeople, supported by a growing base of channel partners nationwide.
